Furthering IPv6 in the Rocky Mountains

Rocky Mountain 2011 IPv6 Summit

Now is the Time for IPv6

The Rocky Mountain IPv6 Task Force (RMv6TF) hosted our 4th annual IPv6 Technology Conference.

When/Where:

  • Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver Colorado
  • April 25-27, 2011

Why Attend:

  • To learn about IPv6 to gain practical information to help you with your IPv6 transition

  • To help your organization with their government mandate or business requirement for IPv6

  • To prepare you for the proper way to deploy dual-stack networks and operating systems

  • To ensure that you have a career path in network technology that spans the next 10 years

  • To collaborate with others in the IPv6 field

The transition to IPv6 has already begun and its completion is inevitable. We want you to be ahead of these technology trends rather than reacting after the ball is already rolling. You need to know more about IPv6 to be able to understand how the powerful wave will transform communications over the next 20 years.

What The Attendees Receive:

  • Three-day educational event

  •       Optional - One entire day of pre-conference tutorials (for an additional fee)

  •       Two-day general session on IPv6 - tracks for various audiences

  •       Additional hands-on sessions on 3rd day - See below for details

  • Lunch and refreshments provided

  • Find out what IPv6 is all about

  • Learn about the benefits of using IPv6

  • Learn about IPv6 technology from the experts

  • Gain valuable information to prepare you and your organization for this new wave of Internet innovation

Agenda and Presenters:

Additional IPv6 Hands-On Lab Experience:

Hands-on Lab: Build an IPv6 Network

Participants will configure an IPv6 based network system utilizing IPv6,  DHCPv6, IPv6 routing, and OSPFv3, and dual-stack IPv4/IPv6. The lab network will have multiple brands of network infrastructure devices for  an interoperability view (HP and Cisco). In addition, various network  connected peripherals such as WLAN, IP camera, and a printer will be a  part of the lab. The IPv6 hands-on lab network will be connected to the  Internet, enabling viewing other IPv6 networks.

In order to participate in these labs, participants will be required to  provide their own laptop with any operating system that has support for IPv6, a wired Ethernet interface, and serial port (either RS-232 port or your supplied USB-to-RS-232 adapter) capability.

A working knowledge of IPv6 is helpful but not required, as lab  configurations will be fully detailed.

There will be two sessions of the IPv6 Hands-on Lab (HoL) on Wednesday April 27, 2011.

Seating is limited. Sign-up will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visit www.ipv6hol.com for lab sign-up.
